Duplus AbbeyCell Blackout Cream Caravan Blind - is a cellular or honeycomb structured fabric that offers beneficial qualities over the standard pleated type fabric on which it is based. Individual fabric cells allow for heightened thermal efficiency in colder months, solar uv light reflection in summer months and increased acoustic absorption. Cream coloured fabric front with a white backing and metallic film on the inner cells.
Attached to the same plane of function the Duplus version of our Caravan Blind system has a pleated voile panel that acts as an insect screen also doubling up as a sheer, having the same effect and function that you get with a net curtain. Which tends to be the default fit especially found with static caravans.
Please bear in mind that the term 'blackout' refers to the fabrics ability to not allow light transmission through it. System itself is not totally blackout and you will see a very small amount of residual light ingress down the sides during daylight hours. Blackout is an unfortunate term that is used in the blind trade that seems to imply that total light elimination is achieved, however unless heavy duty cassettes are used then ultimate and total blackout is not possible. What you will find with Blackout Cellular is that during night time when internal lights are on you will not see shadow or movement at the outside of the residence. So no more Commando style operations when getting ready for bed.
