In the above image the red line is the common measurement of the caravan window including the capping trim (outer edge to outer edge). Orange lines are the
internal measurement points for the individual glazing fit units.

Perimeter Fit - Unus/Duplus Caravan Blind Cassette & Profile Shutters
PERIMETER FIT - This is the placing (blue outline) where the frame is mounted so that it sits on the outer edges of the caravan window trim i.e the perimeter of the window capping that edges the upvc window unit. This method of application requires a minimum of 30mm around the whole of the capped unit. Obstacles such as pelmet board or seat back rests need to be taken into account With the UNUS and DUPLUS caravan blind frames we need to ensure that sufficient space is allowed for the forward projection of the installed unit. For this we need a minimum of 60mm throw away from the panel wall. These allowances permitting, the frame will sit snugly against the wall panel ready for the blind itself to be clicked into place. |
Capping Fit - Unus/Duplus Caravan Blind Cassette & Profile Shutters
CAPPING FIT - This method is recommended where we do not have the qualifying 30mm perimeter clearance or it is simply a matter of preferred choice. Our caravan blind frame in this instance is screwed directly onto the window capping/trim (purple outline) and no surround allowance (other than the 60mm forward projection) is required. As an example in this picture the Capping Fit method is the ideal as insufficient perimeter space exists where the two units get a little close to one another. |

Glazing Fit - Unus/Duplus Caravan Blind Cassette & Ease Shutters
GLAZING FIT - This is only available to internally glazed uPVC where we have the required bead depth of betweeen 18mm to 32mm for Unus & Duplus caravan blind systems and 20mm to 30mm for the Ease Shutter system. Another easy method of fix that delivers an unobtrusive and pleasing aesthetic appearance. There is no need for a base frame for blind unit fix, instead each glazed window panel has its own individual blind (orange lines). Brackets slide behind the window bead gasket (internally beaded uPVC windows only) and the blind is clicked into place. No screws are necessary and the working blind integrates with the glazed units moving with opening windows and doors.
