Unus Caravan Blind is our framed single operation blind that can be fitted directly to upvc double glazed windows as generally found on static caravans or onto an accommodating base frame to enable easy mounting onto the surrounding wall board or perimeter window frame capping. Framework housing the blind is extremely durable yet light weight aluminium, where the base frame is the required method of application this is a polysilk vinyl, a rigid extrusion of the same composition of that of the upvc windows themselves.
Within the made to measure frames we are able to offer various types of caravan blinds - Cellular, Roller, Day & Night and Aluminium Venetian. Each has there own specific application and your individual requirement will determine the blind type to be chosen. On our site we try and explain the pros and cons wherever they exist , we are more than happy to offer assistance during your research and would urge you to ask questions via our online chat link at the bottom right corner of every page you visit.
As an immediate tip our Cellular fabric provides multiple qualities and properties important in caravan environments. Although available in dimout version we would strongly recommend Customers consider the blackout fabric option. Both the dimout and blackout will provide increased thermal control - cooler interior in the summer and help retain heat in the winter. Please bear in mind that it is the fabric that is blackout, the system itself will not provide 100% light elimination so expect a very slight amount of light peeping around the sides but absolutely no silhouette when lights are on and blinds drawn at night. Dimout is around 20% transparent to light and silhouette, we offer it because some Customers prefers a little light ingress however we only have a small surcharge for blackout and so pricing doesn't become a major factor (based on staff experience we feel that blackout in a caravan is a prerequisite and cannot believe that it does not come as standard for all caravans at the point of manufacture).
For a higher degree of light and visiual management, in its venetian version you have increased control over light coming into the caravan and also the degree of tilt commands the field of vision inwards or outwards. Each individual slat, and we offer aluminium or real wood slatting, overlaps and therefore you can expect multiple points of light leakage so total 'blackout' is not possible
